Culinary Support Specialist I: Piedmont Geriatric Hospital

Job Responsibilities

Be eager to learn all facets of the department, including:
- Tray Line Preparation: Plating meals for patients while understanding dietary restrictions, allergies, and food textures.
- Preparation: Assembling all necessary items for tray line meals and patient units.
- Sanitation: Cleaning all dishes used throughout the day, utilizing both dish machines and handwashing techniques to maintain a hygienic and safe environment.
- Cooking: Assisting the culinary team with meal preparation and making any necessary texture modifications for patients.
- Meal Delivery: Distributing meals, snacks, and beverages to various units.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, and follow detailed instructions.
- Willingness to learn about Facility and Food/Nutrition services policies and procedures.
- Commitment to understanding all aspects of the work required to meet patients' needs in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Physical capability to lift and carry heavy items, stand for extended periods, walk, and bend.
Additional Considerations
Prior experience in industrial food service is advantageous.
