Our team at Prime Therapeutics is seeking a skilled Health Informatics Analyst to join our dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, documenting, developing, and rolling out financial, clinical, and utilization analyses using a variety of computing tools. Your expertise in data analysis and interpretation will enable you to perform ad-hoc analyses, balance multiple priorities, and maintain a high level of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform exploratory data analysis and data mining of healthcare claims and authorizations data.
  • Design, document, develop, and roll out financial, clinical, and utilization analyses using computing tools such as SQL and Excel.
  • Participate in defining issues to be studied and the methodology to be used in addressing these issues.
  • Interpret results and prepare data findings in an easily understandable format for varying levels of the organization.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with normalized and denormalized data structures.
  • Experience with SAS, SPSS, and/or other data mining tools.
  • Demonstrated competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to complex business problems.
  • Experience with healthcare medical and pharmacy claims data manipulation and analysis.
  • Master's degree in a technical or analytic field, such as computer science or statistics.
  • Understanding of CPT and ICD-9 codes preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Interest in healthcare and a passion to make a difference.
  • Effective listening and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
