Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for young learners, fostering their social, emotional, cognitive, creative, and physical development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a group of children, ensuring their overall well-being and daily class functions.
  • Implement the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum, integrating language and literacy, STEAM, social studies, music, and health into engaging activities.
  • Assess each child's developmental needs and plan accordingly, collaborating with the Leadership Team to ensure seamless execution.
  • Maintain a well-organized and attractive classroom, promoting children's creativity and confidence.
  • Provide clear expectations and verbal recognition to children, while ensuring a positive and supportive learning environment.
  • Participate in staff meetings, workshops, and school functions, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in early childhood education.
Requirements
  • Meet the basic requirements of the local child care regulatory agency.
  • Previous teaching or assistant teaching experience in a licensed early childhood program is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with handling children and facilitating programs.
