Role: MRI Technologist – St. Mary's Hospital

Incentives:
$20,000 sign-on bonus available. Please inquire for further details.

Work Schedule:
This role requires availability for weekend night shifts only. Weekend positions come with increased shift differentials.

On-call Requirements:
No on-call shifts are necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations of the MRI modality.
- Conduct Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) following established protocols, collaborating closely with Radiologists and other medical professionals.
- Maintain knowledge of workflows, procedures, and operational processes related to MRI imaging.
- Implement magnetic resonance safety protocols to minimize risks to patients and staff.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of all relevant patient and procedural information.
- Select appropriate MRI pulse sequences and scanning parameters in accordance with established guidelines.
- Participate in the training and education of new personnel and assist in supervising MRI students.
- Provide direct patient care and guidance before, during, and after imaging procedures.
- Administer IV injections and magnetic contrast agents as required.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues in the absence of a service engineer and report malfunctions to the radiology maintenance team.

Qualifications:
- An Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institution is preferred.

Licensure/Certification:
- Certification and Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Diagnostic Radiology with an Advanced MRI Registry (MR) is required or must be obtained within one year of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is preferred upon hire and required prior to providing direct patient care.

Experience:
- A minimum of one year of experience in an MRI department within a hospital setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) is advantageous.
