Responsibilities

This role involves direct engagement with the Sponsor's organization focused on security and operational programs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Formulating a technology roadmap for operational IT support and cybersecurity technologies, while leading initiatives to enhance both operations and monitoring capabilities.
  • Steering the organization's strategic objectives and goals for program tracking and oversight.
  • Collecting technical operational capabilities and defining requirements for the engineering team.
  • Independently identifying key technical contacts within the program and synthesizing operational needs aligned with organizational strategies.
  • Monitoring requirements with engineering contacts, identifying obstacles, and taking corrective actions.
  • Recognizing when requirements may not align with program expectations regarding cost, schedule, or scope.
  • Providing guidance to implementing organizations to ensure effective execution of requirements.
  • Understanding and anticipating information gaps while coordinating across various service providers.
  • Evaluating IT operational capabilities and recommending technological improvements.
  • Creating and delivering communications at the group level.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Must possess and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
  • A degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related technical field.
    • BS 10-12 years, MS 8-10 years, PhD 5-7 years.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills; ability to develop original concepts for various projects.
  • Technology Design – Modifying equipment and technology to meet user requirements.
  • Capability to systematically convert customer product requirements into comprehensive system solutions while considering technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Ability to analyze complex system requirements, including:
    • Conducting functional analysis, timeline analysis, cost estimation, trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition.
    • Applying operational concepts for the planning, analysis, design, and construction of information systems across a major sector.
    • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
    • Experience with activity and data modeling, transaction flow analysis, internal control and risk analysis, and modern business performance measurement techniques.
  • Ability to perform tasks involving the collection, compilation, evaluation, and dissemination of information and statistical data.
  • Ability to convey technical information effectively to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, along with interpersonal abilities.
  • Complex Problem Solving – Identifying intricate problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
