About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team at Amazon Development Center U.S., Inc. as a Sr. Amazon Dedicated Cloud Engineer, EC2. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a large-scale cloud computing infrastructure and contribute to the growth of our Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and build operational scalability for the EC2 platform to sustain its rapid growth
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues on the EC2 platform
  • Develop and implement automation scripts to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of EC2 services
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud computing technologies and best practices
Requirements
  • 8+ years of systems administration experience in Linux/Unix
  • Experience creating and modifying scripts
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
  • Experience troubleshooting complex, interdependent systems
  • Experience with performance and log analysis
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience with cloud computing technologies
  • 5+ years of networking experience
  • 5+ years of experience with support procedures and methodologies for production computing environments
  • Experience automating complex tasks
  • Proficiency with troubleshooting
