Gaudenzia is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Support Professional to join our team. As a key member of our treatment program, you will play a vital role in supporting clients in their recovery journey.
Responsibilities- Screen and process new admissions, ensuring a smooth transition into our program.
- Conduct head counts during hourly runs and document client movement in the communication log.
- Monitor client sign-out books and maintain accurate daily census.
- Coordinate in-house activities, including chores, breaks, exercise time, leisure time, and visitations.
- Conduct client orientation sessions, seminars, and morning meetings as directed.
- Transport or assist clients traveling to and from medical and/or other appointments.
- Conduct and document room searches and perform random searches of clients as directed by program supervisor.
- Deny access to unauthorized persons.
- Supervise, where appropriate, clients taking their medications.
- Perform regular room checks to ensure clients are on floors or in their rooms per program schedule.
- Follow protocol for reporting unauthorized absences.
- Monitor urinalysis/drug screening and breathalyzers as instructed by supervisor on duty.
- Monitor daily program activities, including meals and medication line.
- Tour the facility at regular intervals to check building security and ensure there are no fire or safety hazards.
- Conduct fire drills and safety checks, including safety and security of the facility, checking fire extinguishers, first aid kits, and Narcan availability.
- Ensure vehicles are kept clean and complete weekly vehicle inspections.
- Ensure facility cleanliness and safety through regular inspection of sanitation procedures, including pest control, storage of supplies and clients' belongings, and submission of work orders for any needed repairs.
- Ensure property maintenance related to inclement weather, including shoveling, salting, and de-icing walkways and vehicles, as directed.
- Complete written reports, documentation, and electronic incident reports as required.
- Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor or designee.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to interact effectively with clients and aid them in adjusting to their specific problems.
- Basic knowledge of substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to establish and maintain working relations with staff, other agencies, and the public.
- Ability to successfully work with others from various cultures and backgrounds.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.
- Ability to work various shifts.
- Basic computer skills, including ability to use Microsoft Outlook for email, as well as Word and Excel.
