About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Operations Manager to join our team at Oil Filtration Systems. As a key member of our Field Services Division, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our sales department, training and supervising our Field Service Technicians, and overseeing the maintenance and organization of our filtration and flushing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to our sales department to ensure that valid and accurate proposals are prepared for customers.
  • Training and Supervision: Train and supervise our Field Service Technicians in proper flushing and filtration procedures, including basic safety protocols.
  • Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance and organization of our filtration and flushing systems, including all equipment and accessories.
  • Logistics Management: Manage and oversee all logistics related to equipment and manpower for each field service job.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify problems/issues using advanced analysis, troubleshoot, and resolve efficiently.
  • Customer Service: Travel to customers' facilities and oversee filtration and flushing services, as necessary.
  • Reporting: Create (or oversee creation of) oil analysis reports for customers.
  • Human Resources: Manage human resource activities within the area of accountability, to include staffing, performance management, salary administration, and other related activities.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent, Technical Associates degree or Bachelor degree in engineering preferred.
  • Experience: One-year mechanical experience with pumps, motors, valves, and fluid dynamics is required. Four years' experience within the Oil, Fuel or Fluid Power Industries preferred.
  • Skills: Knowledge of filtration equipment, preferably with previous employment at a filtration or level manufacturer or representative. Familiar with ISO fluid cleanliness standards. Familiarity with operation, repair, and maintenance of filtration and flushing equipment (including pumps, motors, and basic electrical) and flow rate and pressure drop calculations.
Working Conditions
  • Physical Demands: Must regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds, using proper lifting techniques or other available resources.
  • Environmental Factors: Exposure to noise, dust, heat, and cold on a regular basis. Separate exposure to machine and tool hazards requiring care and attention to safety rules and standards.
