Job Responsibilities
  • Network Design and Implementation: Design and deploy network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points, ensuring network architecture meets organizational requirements and industry standards.
  • Network Security: Implement security measures to protect network infrastructure from cyber threats and unauthorized access, configuring firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems to safeguard data integrity and confidentiality.
  • Network Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor network performance and traffic patterns to identify and address bottlenecks, latency issues, and other performance issues, optimizing network settings and configurations for maximum efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support to end-users and IT teams for network-related issues, troubleshooting connectivity problems, DNS issues, and other network-related problems to minimize downtime.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and troubleshooting procedures, generating reports on network performance, security incidents, and capacity planning.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors and service providers to procure network equipment, software, and services, evaluating vendor proposals and solutions to ensure they meet organizational requirements.
  • Training and Knowledge Sharing: Provide training and guidance to IT staff and end-users on network-related topics and best practices, sharing knowledge and expertise to build a strong network infrastructure team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in network administration or a related role.
  • Active Top Secret clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
Work Environment

Onsite in Washington, DC.
