Role Overview

While direct consulting experience is not mandatory, proven leadership in managing projects with a small team (3-5 members, including junior associates and senior partners) is essential.

Senior Consultants at ADL Ventures exhibit entrepreneurial skills in designing innovative business models, conducting scenario analyses, and embracing digital transformation, while also maintaining the ability to produce polished client-ready reports and presentations under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee weekly project operations, acting as a mentor to ensure the timely preparation of client deliverables while effectively delegating tasks to junior team members.
  • Facilitate client meetings to assess progress, refine project direction, and establish priorities for upcoming tasks.
  • Build and maintain client relationships, proactively identifying and cultivating project opportunities with key stakeholders.
  • Utilize existing networks and past project successes to develop a robust portfolio of business in your areas of expertise.
  • Guide and mentor junior staff, providing constructive feedback to enhance their performance and support their career development.
  • Contribute to internal initiatives, including recruitment, marketing, and operational improvements to support the growth of ADL Ventures.
  • Bring a genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for the projects undertaken at ADL Ventures, striving to effect change in traditionally slow-moving industries.
  • Exemplify professionalism, integrity, and a strong work ethic, serving as a role model for junior team members.
Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant industry experience, preferably within the energy sector.
  • Proven expertise and a strong professional network that can be leveraged to build a successful business portfolio.
  • A commitment to asking insightful questions rather than simply seeking answers.
  • Self-motivated and responsive, thriving in ambiguous situations with minimal supervision.
  • A passion for driving innovation and fostering positive societal change within the energy landscape.
  • Exceptional writing and communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
  • A keen interest in technology commercialization, demonstrated through previous roles or projects.
  • Experience in business case development or consulting, whether through professional or academic avenues (preferred but not required).
  • A balanced skill set that combines interpersonal abilities with strong research and organizational capabilities.
  • Active involvement in community and extracurricular activities, showcasing effective teamwork in diverse settings.
  • Undergraduate and/or graduate degree.
Compensation and Benefits

  • Base Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000
  • Performance Bonus: Up to 15%
