Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer to become a part of our team. Your primary responsibility will be to guarantee the quality and reliability of our web and mobile applications within our existing and upcoming SaaS product lines.

Our technology stack is broad, diverse, and continuously evolving. As a Lead SQA Engineer, you will be enthusiastic about engaging with multiple programming languages and frameworks, and you will play a role in shaping future architectural decisions. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is essential, and you should be comfortable both providing and receiving technical guidance.

Our mobile applications are developed using Kotlin/Java, while our Vehicle teams utilize Python and Go. There is a vast array of opportunities to explore.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing and maintaining test strategies for Android mobile applications (utilizing Testrail) with a focus on automation.
  • Creating automated testing scripts using Appium and Python (or other relevant tools).
  • Conducting manual exploratory and regression testing of Android mobile applications.
  • Performing manual exploratory and regression testing of vehicle connectivity.
  • Executing manual exploratory and regression testing of Android SDK/Libraries.
  • Reproducing defects reported by customers through JIRA or Crashlytics.
  • Collaborating with development and product teams on new features and projects.
  • Reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and constructive feedback.
  • Innovating new testing methodologies to challenge our applications.
  • Promoting a culture of quality throughout the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in writing test automation code (Python and/or Javascript).
  • Experience in designing and implementing testing frameworks from the ground up.
  • Proven track record of establishing and enforcing testing standards and best practices at an organizational level.
  • Experience in a leadership role, mentoring and developing other QA engineers.
  • Proficiency in testing Android mobile applications.
  • Experience in writing end-to-end tests across various platforms.
  • Familiarity with writing contract and integration tests.
  • Experience using Firebase Crashlytics.

This is an exempt position. Our job titles may encompass multiple job levels. The estimated base salary for this role ranges from $105,000 to $170,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target base salaries for new hires across all US locations. Compensation packages are influenced by various factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, work experience, relevant training and certifications, business needs, market demands, and geographical location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be adjusted in the future. This role may also qualify for bonuses, equity, and additional benefits.
