Position Summary: The Senior SOF Intelligence Trainer will play a pivotal role in the planning and execution of comprehensive training exercises aimed at enhancing the operational readiness of SOF units. This position involves collaboration with a specialized team focused on delivering high-quality training events certified by the MARSOC Joint National Training Capability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for interagency collaboration within the MARSOC exercise planning team.
  • Stay informed on SOF and Joint Enterprise training requirements through thorough research and analysis of relevant directives and operational guidelines.
  • Develop and prepare training materials that align with Adult Learning principles, focusing on the core activities and tasks essential for SOF operations.
  • Maintain strong relationships with strategic planners and leaders across various military and governmental organizations to ensure cohesive exercise design and execution.
  • Support the design and planning of exercises, including scenario development and role-playing for key staff positions.
  • Train and onboard role players from various governmental agencies to ensure realistic and effective training scenarios.
  • Analyze performance data and provide constructive feedback during After Action Reviews to enhance future training exercises.
  • Create comprehensive event concepts that integrate real-world scenarios into training objectives.
  • Ensure all training objectives are met by incorporating Joint Mission Essential Task List (JMETL) tasks into exercise planning.
  • Utilize the ADDIE model to assess training needs and develop effective training solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with MISO and CA integration in operational contexts is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of experience in SOF, or equivalent military experience at senior levels.
  • Proven track record in joint operations and strategic-level planning within SOF environments.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Experience as a platform instructor in a military education or training setting is preferred.
