Role Responsibilities:
As a Family Services Advocate, you will play a crucial role in developing and executing strategies to recruit participants for our Head Start program, ensuring optimal enrollment and maintaining a waiting list. Your work will involve:

  • Building and nurturing relationships with families, acting as a trusted advocate to help them achieve their goals.
  • Conducting individualized assessments to identify family strengths, needs, and necessary resources.
  • Facilitating access to support services that enhance child development and parental skills.
  • Establishing community partnerships and coordinating services to support families effectively.
  • Documenting and reporting on service delivery and outcomes.

Ideal Candidate Profile:
This position is well-suited for individuals who possess:
  • A genuine interest in the welfare and education of young children, along with qualities such as patience, humor, and sound judgment.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to listen actively to children, parents, and colleagues.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in the Human Services or Social Work sectors.
  • Preferred experience in Head Start programs.
  • A degree in social science, human services, or a related field is preferred.
