Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to support and coordinate activities involved with Engineering, Operations, Customer Service, and Procurement teams in preparing Request for Quotes (RFQs), negotiating contracts, and managing suppliers involved with direct materials/services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead multi-functional teams in the development of specifications, statements of work, and terms and conditions for the procurement of engineered products, electronic components, capital equipment, and assigned categories.
  • Prepare RFQ/bid packages and analyze and evaluate proposals to negotiate long-term pricing agreements.
  • Negotiate commercial terms and select or recommend suppliers/aggregate spend/support sourcing efforts.
  • Issue contracts and administer resulting contracts, and participate and assist in developing procurement policies and procedures.
  • Develop and support strategies for negotiation with direct material vendors and leverage economies of scale to best meet the purchasing needs of the business in terms of cost, quality, and vendor ability.
  • Lead and facilitate sourcing initiatives in collaboration with other functional business departments and analyze complex data to identify sourcing opportunities and drive cost savings in assigned direct material categories.
  • Research market dynamics, cost drivers, historical spend, and industry trends to enhance negotiations and ensure compliance around pricing, payment terms, volume commitments, rebates, etc.
  • Manage key supplier performance goals and objectives as consistent with Procurement department goals and participate as key interface with Program Management team and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or another relevant field from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, specifically involving direct sourcing.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in direct supervisor or management of a team.
  • Knowledge of cost/price analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFAR and commercial procurement regulations.
  • Certification in Procurement and Materials Management (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM).
  • Previous experience in an AS9100/ISO9001 environment.
