About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Akumin. As a key member of our imaging team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and producing high-quality diagnostic images.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures, including pre-screening for contraindications and proper documentation of radiation safety protocols.
  • Produce high-quality diagnostic images using PET-CT technology.
  • Effectively communicate with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
  • Train new technologists and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot scanner and peripheral equipment issues to minimize downtime.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Certification in Nuclear Medicine by the NMTCB or ARRT (N) required.
  • State license, as required.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Valid state driver's license, as applicable.
  • 1-2 years' experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures and studies preferred.
