Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at the University of California. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine to complex Nuclear Medicine procedures utilizing radioactive materials and radioactive pharmaceuticals in accordance with established Nuclear Medicine guidelines and protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radionuclide imaging of organs, organ systems, compartments, and physiologic functions
  • Assay body fluids, tissues, and radiobioassays
  • Prepare and position patients for procedures using established Nuclear Medicine protocols
  • Follow protocols specified by the Radiologist
  • Enter complex data into computer systems
  • Review, verify, and evaluate images to ensure technical quality and image quality
Requirements
  • California Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technician license issued by NMTCB
  • OR Registered Technologist for Nuclear Medicine Technology issued by ARRT (R.T(N)(ARRT))
  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date
  • Recent graduate of a school of accredited Nuclear Medicine technology program
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of various radiological systems to include PACS and RIS
  • One (1) year of hospital experience
Working Conditions

Must be able to work various locations based on business needs. Must be able to work flexible hours, days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, On-Call and overtime, if necessary.

Annual Full Pay Range: $118,557 - $156,621 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%). Hourly Equivalent: $75.01
