Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement standards of care in the orthopedic service area to facilitate quality patient care, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
  • Promote a culture of staff growth, development, and autonomy
  • Perform the principal duties and responsibilities of the RN position and serve as a role model for professional practice
  • Accept responsibility for self-development and professional practice
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current IL RN license
  • BSN preferred, ADN acceptable with agreement for nurses with less than 12 months of experience to enroll in BSN completion program
  • 2-3 years of nursing experience in an operating room, preferably in orthopedic service line
  • Ability to scrub and circulate cases
  • Certification in specialty area: CNOR
  • Current AHA CPR
  • Ability to cooperate and work well with internal/external customers
  • Good time management and organizational skills
