We are seeking an experienced Special Care Nursery Nurse to join our team at Tufts Medicine, Lowell General Hospital. As a critical care nurse in our Level II Special Care Neonatal Nursery, you will provide exceptional patient care to critically ill full-term and premature infants with various medical conditions.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where you will be part of an interdisciplinary team that prioritizes family education and provides ongoing assessments during the infant's stay. Our Special Care Nursery operates 24/7, and as a per diem RN, you will be required to work every other weekend and holiday.

About the Role:

  • Provide comprehensive, evidence-based care to critically ill infants requiring stabilization and ongoing assessment.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each infant and their family.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient care and progress.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent required.
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Special Care Nursery setting, with a focus on premature infant care.
  • Ability to work every other weekend and holiday required.
