Job Title: Staff Market Researcher

At Credit Karma, we're on a mission to champion financial progress for all. We're seeking a highly skilled Staff Market Researcher to join our Market Research team, combining conventional market research responsibilities with advanced analytics and data science expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute comprehensive benchmarking and brand tracking studies to drive member perception and value.
  • Develop and maintain systems for monitoring member perception and value, leveraging tools like R, SPSS, SAS, and SQL.
  • Lead the development and implementation of Net Promoter Score (NPS) tracking systems, utilizing advanced predictive techniques and statistical analysis.
  • Program and analyze data using R, SPSS, or SAS, and query BigQuery databases using SQL to pull internal data on members and integrate with survey analysis.
  • Draft custom survey questionnaires tailored to specific research objectives, and triangulate data from multiple sources to synthesize findings and recommendations.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify key findings and trends, and create detailed reports and presentations to communicate research findings to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Brand Strategy, Product Marketing, and Growth Marketing teams to ensure insights inform strategic decisions.
  • Drive continuous improvement and future development of tracking efforts to align with company goals, and stay updated on industry trends and best practices in market research.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or graduate degree in Market Research, Marketing, Business, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field with a minimum of 8 years of industry experience.
  • Proven experience in advanced statistical analysis and predictive techniques, with proficiency in data analysis and statistical software (e.g., SPSS, SAS, R, Excel).
  • Strong SQL skills for querying databases and integrating data, and experience with survey design, programming, and data analysis.
  • Familiarity with brand and marketing metrics, including Voice of the Customer initiatives, and in-depth understanding of Net Promoter Score (NPS) and its applications.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work independently and lead complex projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI), and experience with survey tools (e.g., Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey).
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry, and experience with automation of data collection and analysis processes.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines, and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.

Pay Transparency Notice:

Credit Karma's mission of championing financial progress for all starts from within. We implemented role-based compensation, ensuring people who are in the same role receive the same pay with variations for geographic location only.

The base salary range for this role is $247,000 - $298,000, plus equity and benefits.
