As a Service Engineering Specialist, you will play a crucial role in commissioning, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing various equipment at our clients' sites.

We seek motivated, self-directed, and qualified individuals to enhance our established service team.

With regional travel involved, you will typically return home each night, utilizing a company-provided vehicle for all work-related travel.



Your key responsibilities will include:

Commissioning, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing an array of flow meters, pressure transmitters, level transmitters, temperature transmitters, chart recorders, controllers, and valves to meet customer specifications.

Conducting visual inspections, testing, and recommending modifications to ensure installations comply with manufacturers' operational standards.


Monitoring processes, developing tests and procedures to identify proper or malfunctioning equipment, preparing reports, and discussing findings with customers or sales representatives to suggest improvements or solutions.

Dismantling faulty instrumentation and equipment, replacing them with new or repaired components following manufacturers' guidelines.



Assembling, repairing, and/or replacing related instrumentation and associated equipment.

Guiding installers on the correct placement of equipment according to schematics and manufacturers' recommendations.

Informing customers about proper installation requirements.


Collaborating with fellow Service Engineers, manufacturers' representatives, and customers to diagnose equipment malfunctions and provide technical solutions for complex instrumentation and equipment needs.


Training customer representatives on the proper usage, troubleshooting, and maintenance of instrumentation and equipment, while preparing relevant materials for spare parts.


Competencies: Technical Capacity, Problem Solving/Analysis, Customer/Client Focus, Initiative.


Requirements:


Associates degree in a technical field (preferably Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or Electronics Engineering Technology) or four plus years of relevant experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proficiency with programmable logic controls, input/output systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, sensors, AC/DC systems, instrumentation, etc. Familiarity with Word, Excel, networking, database management, and Microsoft Windows components is essential.


ISO 17025 Certification is preferred but not mandatory.


Ability to work with mathematical concepts and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Capability to convert standard measurements to metric and calculate measurements related to gas, temperature, and fluid flow.


Work Environment and Physical Demands:


Regular exposure to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and risk of electrical shock; frequent exposure to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions; and extreme temperatures.

The noise level may be very loud.


Regular use of hands to handle or manipulate parts, hand tools, multimeters, voltmeters, etc., and to operate office equipment; may regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.


This is a full-time position with standard hours from Monday through Friday. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on job demands. Must be available for assignments on short notice.

Travel may be up to 75% of the time, primarily local during business hours, with occasional overnight travel expected.

Company vehicle and tools will be provided. A valid state driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required.
