Actalent is seeking an Employee Service Specialist to support our internal employees and technical consultants. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our employees receive exceptional service in all areas of requests, including payroll, benefits, and general employment questions.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all employees are educated in benefits and assist with any questions.
- Communicate terminated employees to the payroll team to ensure they are off-boarding properly.
- Assist the payroll team with timecard collection, manager approval, and communication to internal partners and employees.
- Manage the Unemployment Process, including claims and hearings.
- Partner with the Worker's Compensation team, Unemployment Representatives, HR for FMLA, STD, LOA process.
- Audit PTO packages if applicable.
- Assist with immigration questions and follow up as needed.
- Update the PeopleSoft system with employee information as needed.
- Coordinate tuition reimbursement process.
- Actively seek opportunities to increase employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Participate in Social Committees/Newsletters where applicable.
- Communicate all personnel changes, promotions, terminations, to appropriate partners and update systems as needed.
- Continuously evaluate areas of responsibility to facilitate continuous improvement and implement best practices.
- Maintain informational bulletin boards.
- Coordinate employee events, such as lunches, conference room preparation, meetings, team-building activities, etc.
- Maintain inventory and order office supplies.
- Serve as a direct liaison to the property manager and building maintenance.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years professional experience in an employee service/support or HR-related position.
- Professional experience explaining and administering employee benefit plans, PTO/vacation packages required.
- Proficiency in payroll, onboarding, employee service, and/or HR-related tasks desired.
- Ability to communicate effectively and provide proper follow-up with employees.
- Ability to organize, problem-solve, and determine priorities necessary.
- Initiative, ability to work independently and self-assign tasks and projects strongly desired.
- Well-versed in explaining and administering employee benefits.
- Previous experience involving event-planning and coordinating office activities is a plus.
- $44,000-$46,000 starting base salary.
- $4,000 annual performance bonus potential.
- 4 weeks paid time-off.
