Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure daily operations in the kitchen comply with established procedures.
  • Perform food preparation tasks for various ingredients used in recipes.
  • Prepare food items according to recipe specifications, adjusting flavors as needed with chef assistance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards in the kitchen area.
  • Keep necessary dishes and utensils stocked and sanitary at all times.
  • Monitor supply levels and replenish as required.
  • Oversee equipment functionality, conduct preventative maintenance, and request repairs when necessary.
  • Adhere to all food-handling and sanitation regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Some High School education or equivalent.
  • Flexibility in scheduling based on business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening.

Preferred Skills:

  • Enrollment in or willingness to pursue a culinary degree.
  • Previous cooking experience.
  • Knowledge of sanitation practices and the importance of a clean food preparation environment.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Professional demeanor that fosters trust and confidence.
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Able to bend, stretch, and twist.
  • Able to stand for extended periods.
