Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure daily operations in the kitchen comply with established procedures.
  • Prepare ingredients including fruits, vegetables, meats, and fish for various recipes.
  • Cook food items according to recipe specifications, adjusting flavors as needed with the chef's guidance.
  • Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards in the kitchen area.
  • Keep necessary cooking utensils and dishware clean and sanitary at all times.
  • Monitor and replenish supply levels in the kitchen as required.
  • Oversee equipment functionality, perform maintenance, and arrange repairs when necessary.
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Some High School education or equivalent.
  • Flexibility in scheduling based on business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening.

Preferred Skills:

  • Enrollment in or pursuit of a culinary degree.
  • Previous experience in a cooking role.
  • Knowledge of sanitation practices and maintaining a clean food preparation area.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Professional demeanor that inspires trust and confidence.
  • Positive and enthusiastic attitude.

Physical Requirements:

  • Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Able to bend, stretch, and twist.
  • Able to stand for extended periods.
