Established Global Investment Manager - Corporate Paralegal Position

A reputable global investment management firm based in Austin, TX, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive corporate paralegal to provide critical support to the firm's legal and compliance functions. This role will involve various tasks related to documentation management, process ownership, and internal/external communication.

About the Role:

  • Organize and manage documentation related to investments (debt, equity), fund compliance (VCOC, select BDC compliance), and process documentation including AML/KYC and UCC filings.
  • Assist internal counsel with legal documentation data collection.
  • Support internal counsel in managing the operational rhythm of legal processes and reporting, including tracking legal invoices, insurance, UCC filings, and NDA processes.
  • Handle reporting requests and inquiries from various departments across the firm, including legal, regulatory, risk, compliance, credit, business development, and finance.
  • Collaborate with in-house counsel to correspond with outside counsel or other external counterparties, as required.
  • Maintain selected fund-level documentation and legal entity reporting, ensuring records are accurate and up to date.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of experience in a legal, compliance, or operational support role, ideally in investment management or financial services.
  • Experience with documentation management, legal filings, and compliance reporting.
  • Knowledge of AML/KYC processes, UCC filings, and fund compliance matters is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external parties.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Salary Estimate: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
