Responsibilities- Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and recipes.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Participate in the clean-up of the kitchen and dining area after each meal serving.
- Unload delivery trucks, store food, and maintain the cleanliness of all storage areas.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and residents to ensure a positive and respectful dining experience.
- Food safety certification recognized by the National Restaurant Association within 90 days of hire.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to safely use knives, mechanical slicer, and other basic kitchen utensils and appliances.
- Meet the Child Protection Clearances required by PA Act 153.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
- Understanding of, appreciation for, and support of The Salvation Army's mission.
