Job Summary

The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for conducting comprehensive patient assessments, developing and implementing individualized therapy programs, and evaluating patient progress. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct subjective and objective assessments of patient speech language abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy programs to improve communication and swallowing skills
  • Evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate records
  • Consult with Program Director and Rehab Physician/Medical Director regarding patient placement and treatment
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
  • Licensed as a Speech Pathologist in the State of Texas
  • Masters Degree from an accredited Speech Therapy program
  • Minimum 2 years experience as an SLP in an Inpatient rehab setting
  • Experience with swallow and cognitive assessment and treatment preferred
