Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Community Action of South Texas. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing communication therapy services to our clients, identifying and assessing children in need of speech-language-hearing services, and developing and implementing treatment plans to meet their needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specific therapy procedures planned and directed by the licensed professional.
  • Conduct carry-over activities, language stimulation, and other activities deemed appropriate by the licensed professional.
  • Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings and assessments with appropriate supervision.
  • Provide supportive services to ECI team members as needed, assist with transitioning of children, and perform necessary documentation and record-keeping.
  • As directed, provide in-service training to program staff and ongoing training for parents, guardians, or other caregivers.
Requirements
  • A Master's Degree in Communication Disorders.
  • Licensure as a Speech/Language Pathologist in the State of Texas.
  • Certification in Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association.
  • Two (2) years pediatric experience, with preference for three (3) or more years.
  • Bilingual ability (English/Spanish) is required.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
Physical Requirements

The Speech Language Pathologist must be able to lift up to thirty-five (35) pounds and have the ability to work in variable environments related to temperature, humidity, degrees of cleanliness/order, and around other varied environmental factors and elements.
