Position Overview:
BankTalent HQ is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Loan Recovery Associate. This position offers a flexible work arrangement, allowing for a combination of in-office and remote work.

Compensation:
The hourly wage for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Engaging with clients via phone to notify them of overdue accounts, understanding the reasons for delinquency, and securing payment commitments or negotiating repayment plans.
  • Updating client accounts accurately within the organization's database.
  • Following established protocols to determine the most suitable collection strategies.
  • Creating and managing repayment plans while clearly communicating the implications of overdue accounts to clients.
  • Conducting thorough investigations and due diligence to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Upholding the standards set forth by the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and adhering to both state and federal bankruptcy laws.
  • Performing field collection tasks as required.
  • Completing additional duties as assigned.

Work Schedule:
Available schedules may include Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday, with hours typically from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM.

Qualifications:
Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with relevant experience in collections or customer service, preferably within the banking or finance sectors.
  • Basic understanding of consumer loans, credit cards, and collection processes is essential.
  • Exceptional customer service abilities are a must.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and effective telephone techniques, with the capacity to be assertive yet professional.
  • Ability to interact effectively with borrowers, legal representatives, and third parties while maintaining professionalism.
  • Proficient negotiation and follow-up skills.
  • Capability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements is beneficial.
  • Competence in math, reading, writing, and basic computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word).
