Executive Vice President of Operations

The Vice President of Operations is a key leadership role responsible for the strategic direction and operational oversight of our hospice services. This role requires a strong clinical and business acumen, with the ability to drive growth, improve quality, and ensure regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve business goals and objectives.
- Manage the planning, budgeting, and monitoring of business operations to secure financial stability.
- Recruit and develop a team of senior leaders to manage critical business functions.
- Implement operational policies and procedures to accomplish identified outcomes.
- Evaluate hospice services and personnel using measurable actionable outcomes and objectives.
- Establish a structure and systems that ensure interdisciplinary care is provided.
- Ensure commitment and compliance with applicable laws and regulations across the organization.
- Ensure hospice personnel stay current with local, state, and national clinical information, practices, regulations, issues, and trends.
- Maintain adequate and appropriate staffing.
- Ensure staff development including orientation, in-service, continuing education, competency testing, and quality assessment performance improvement.
- Develop positive relationships with key stakeholders, including shareholders and government agencies.
- Proactively address challenges in the internal and external environment to protect business interests.
- Develop and maintain a culture of support to equip personnel in achieving their discipline-specific goals.
- Coordinate with other departments, services, and senior management.
- Bachelor of Science or Masters Degree in Nursing, or other clinical specialty, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration.
- RN strongly preferred but not required.
- Minimum 10-12 years of related experience, preferably hospice multi-site management experience.
- Possess a professional and resourceful style; having the ability to work independently and as team player, to take initiative, and to manage multiple tasks and projects at the same time.
- Knowledge of hospice regulations and Medicare conditions of participation.
- Excellent communication and teaching skills required.
- The VP of Operations will need to be on-site 60-75% of the time.
