We are seeking a highly skilled Property Claims Adjuster to join our team at American Family Mutual Insurance Company. As a key member of our claims team, you will be responsible for handling homeowner property field claims in a professional and timely manner.
Key Responsibilities- Investigate and Resolve Claims: Conduct thorough investigations to determine the origin and cause of claims, and work with insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, and other stakeholders to resolve claims in a fair and timely manner.
- Handle Complex Claims: Identify complex issues and find assistance as needed to handle claims on a good faith basis.
- Conduct On-Site Inspections: Conduct on-site inspections to evaluate damages and handle claim negotiations with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and public adjusters.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries, make appropriate decisions, and close files as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license and have an acceptable driving record.
- State-Specific Licensing: Obtain state-specific property casualty claims licensing.
- Experience and Skills: Demonstrate experience handling 1st and 3rd party, multi-line claims, and possess solid knowledge of each phase of the claim handling process.
- Familiarity with Xactimate: Have familiarity and experience with Xactimate.
