Job Summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a highly skilled Business & Facilities Director to lead the daily operations, facilities management, and financial administration of the Kroc Center. This is a critical role that requires a comprehensive understanding of operational functions and fiscal stewardship.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Manage direct reports, ensuring all staff are well-informed and productive.
    • Conduct monthly reviews of work schedules, duty assignments, and payroll reports to identify areas for improvement.
    • Enforce departmental policies, goals, and procedures to ensure compliance with federal and state law requirements.
    • Develop constructive relationships with TSA Divisional Headquarters' staff and Territorial Headquarters regarding Kroc activities and communications.
  • Financial Administration
    • Review financial statements, membership sales, and activity reports to measure productivity and identify areas for cost reduction and program improvement.
    • Manage the organization's financial activities to ensure smooth and sustainable operations.
    • Develop and manage Kroc's annual budget planning and submission procedures.
    • Monitor and control resources, overseeing financial expenditures and managing collections for all departments.
  • Facilities & Property Management
    • Supervise the community center's daily operation, ensuring a safe, clean, and functional environment for all users and contracted tenants.
    • Implement and enforce standard operating procedures for facility maintenance and usage.
    • Oversee the relationship with the external facilities management vendor and monitor vendor performance against service level agreements.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in facility management, engineering, business administration, or architecture.
  • Experience
    • Proven experience with business software applications, specifically Serenic, UKG, Office 365, and Traction Rec.
    • 5-7 years of experience in facilities management or real estate property management, with leadership and management experience.
    • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), banking, and financial data analysis and reporting.
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced Education
    • Master's degree in one of the above disciplines.
  • Additional Experience
    • Ten (10) years of relevant leadership and management experience.
    • Experience working as a quality control inspector, property/project manager, or facilities manager.
