The Spine Hospital of Louisiana is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to provide high-quality imaging services to patients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting diagnostic imaging examinations, such as X-rays, and utilizing C-Arm equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce radiographs, fluoroscopic images, and other diagnostic images.
  • Position patients for imaging procedures and ensure patient comfort and safety.
  • Explain procedures to patients and maintain awareness to prevent surgical harm or injury.
  • Perform duties designated by the Clinical Services Director or Lead Tech.
  • Prepare contrast media for safe administration to patients as prescribed by physicians.
  • Check patients before radiographic procedures for proper preparation and allergies.
  • Ensure comfort and safety while positioning and immobilizing patients for procedures.
  • Adhere to federal and state radiation safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Cost-effectively maintain adequate supplies and equipment in working conditions.
  • Responsible for proper cleaning of radiological equipment.
  • Participate in providing and presenting educational instruction on existing and newly acquired equipment and instruments.
  • Report damaged equipment to the Clinical Services Director and follow procedures for damaged instruments and equipment.
  • Responsible for maintaining a sterile field during procedures.
  • Responsible for after-hours on-call.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • Previous experience in a hospital or medical setting. C-Arm experience is preferred but not required.
  • Licensure by the Louisiana State Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (LSRTBE), certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), and current BLS certification are required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for long periods.
