About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist, you will play a critical role in the operation of our heart catheterization laboratory suite, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate diagnostic fluoroscopy and various types of cardiac equipment to obtain high-quality images of coronary artery disease and peripheral vascular disease.
  • Monitor patient vitals and report values to the performing physician.
  • Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and patients for procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient environment.
  • Assist the physician during procedures as needed, providing support and expertise.
  • Perform quality control standards and regular maintenance of fluoroscopy equipment to ensure optimal diagnostic imaging.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in Radiologic Sciences (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months of hire.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist in the state of practice and registration from The American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience as an allied health professional.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Windows-style applications and various software packages specific to the role.
