Job Summary

We are seeking a Registered Behavior Technician to join our team at Marklund Day School. As a Registered Behavior Technician, you will work directly with students who have medical, developmental, and physical disabilities. Your primary responsibilities will include implementing behavior management techniques, observing and managing student behavior, and providing individualized support to students.

Responsibilities
  • Implement behavior management techniques to support students
  • Observe and manage student behavior according to approved procedures
  • Work directly with students one-on-one and in groups outlined in the IEPs
  • Assist teachers with classwork and daily care of students with special needs
  • Keep equipment in the classroom in clean condition and provide a safe physical environment for all students
  • Provide training and coaching to paraprofessionals on behavior techniques and implementation
Requirements
  • Illinois Paraprofessional Educator license is required
  • Must have Registered Behavior Technician License
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job and meet its functional and environmental requirements
