Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician

We are seeking a skilled Registered Behavior Technician to join our team at Newline Behavioral Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for implementing effective treatment plans to clients in an individual or group setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement therapy plans as outlined by the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), including teaching new skills and managing challenging behaviors.
  • Collect and record data on client progress, behavior, and skill acquisition, using data to inform treatment adjustments.
  • Build rapport and maintain a positive therapeutic relationship with clients, providing support and encouragement to help them achieve their individual goals.
  • Utilize behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors in a constructive and effective manner.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the supervising BCBA, providing feedback and updates on client progress and any concerns.
  • Participate in ongoing training and supervision sessions with the BCBA to enhance skills and stay current with best practices in ABA therapy.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, client progress, and any incidents that occur during therapy.

Qualifications:

  • Certification: Must hold a valid RBT certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in psychology, education, or related fields is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a related field is beneficial but not always required; on-the-job training is often provided.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to follow detailed instructions, and a patient and empathetic approach to working with clients.

Work Environment:

  • Work may take place in a variety of settings, including clients' homes, schools, or therapy centers.
  • The role may require flexibility in hours and availability, including evenings or weekends, depending on client needs.
