Job Overview

Position: Food and Beverage Server

Role Summary:

The Food and Beverage Server is responsible for delivering food and drinks in a welcoming, polite, and professional manner, adhering to the high standards of Palette Hotels.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Capability to secure any necessary government licenses or certifications.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Fundamental understanding of food and beverage preparation, service protocols, guest interaction, and etiquette.
  • Service-oriented mindset with knowledge of customer service principles.
  • Familiarity with proper table settings and service equipment.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • High School Diploma is preferred.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or dining services is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly and efficiently to all guest and client inquiries.
  • Prepare tables as directed by the supervisor, including linens, service ware, and glassware.
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings to review service expectations and guest needs.
  • Welcome guests and address their requests swiftly and courteously.
  • Serve food and beverages as instructed by the supervisor.
  • Clear dishes promptly as guests finish each course or at the meal's conclusion.
  • Refill beverages as needed and check in with guests to ensure satisfaction.
  • Complete all assigned side work, including replenishing condiments and restocking supplies.
  • Conduct general cleaning tasks to maintain health standards.
  • Comply with all State, Federal, and Corporate liquor regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
