KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The primary role of the Senior Instrumentation Technician involves testing, calibrating, installing, repairing, and inspecting various monitoring and recording devices. Additional responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and ensuring the operational integrity of these instruments. The technician will adhere to established performance standards and quality benchmarks while effectively communicating operational activities across shifts and departments.
SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Expertise in various instrumentation, communication, and calibration protocols such as 4-10 mA, 0-10 VDC, Hart Communicator, and PID tuning.
- Coordinating technical maintenance and repair plans among multiple shifts of instrumentation technicians.
- Assisting in the management of spare parts inventories for plant equipment.
- Contributing to the reduction of repair costs through effective management practices.
- Ensuring timely completion of scheduled work assignments and necessary documentation.
- Managing work orders for repairs from initiation to completion.
- Installing, maintaining, and calibrating a wide range of industrial instrumentation.
- Troubleshooting telemetry and process controller hardware.
- Conducting preventive maintenance inspections of metering control instruments.
- Planning and implementing new metering and recording devices, including necessary electrical connections.
- Supporting calibration efforts and maintaining accurate records of equipment.
- Performing other assigned duties as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate's degree in a related field or four (4) years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in database software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated reliable work history.

- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capacity to engage effectively with a diverse workforce and clientele.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical documents and reports.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Conflict resolution skills and professionalism.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in a high-volume food production or manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with OSHA, GMP, FDA, USDA, and EPA regulations.
- Knowledge of JDE software.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving items over 50 lbs.
- Occasional exposure to varying temperatures.
