Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Program Facilitator to join our team at Child & Family Resources. As a Program Facilitator, you will play a critical role in delivering our evidence-based programs to youth and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate interactive learning sessions and workshops, utilizing evidence-based program curriculum and activities with a strong emphasis on program fidelity.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for participants, utilizing a trauma-informed approach.
  • Assist in recruitment efforts, including identifying and engaging with potential participants and partners.
  • Recruit and manage Peer Coach/Leadership participants, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Provide accurate and age-appropriate responses to participant questions, and offer opportunities for participants to ask questions during breaks and after sessions.
  • Plan, promote, and direct a schedule of activities for weekly sessions, leading and instructing activities as needed.
  • Complete necessary paperwork and reports in a timely manner, and maintain accurate records and documentation of program participants.
  • Report problems and recommend actions to the Program Director, and maintain safety and discipline of participants during the program.
  • Supervise and care for equipment, and document incidents as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or at least 1 year directly related experience working with youth.
  • At least 1-year experience as a group facilitator and working knowledge of classroom management techniques, preferably working with both adults and youth.
  • Knowledge of sexual health, trauma-informed approaches, positive youth development, youth-friendly referrals, classroom management, LGBTQIA+ inclusivity, mandatory reporting, and other components critical to providing a safe and supportive environment for youth.
  • Knowledge of adolescent development and effective prevention strategies in the fields of suicide, substance use, school dropout, and violence, including bullying.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills, with the ability to exercise discretion in acquiring and disseminating confidential and proprietary information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to effectively work with the general public, clients, and staff.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and working knowledge of database management systems.
  • Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others, and to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to work with people from various cultural backgrounds, and to adhere to agency policies and procedures.
  • Meets department performance/productivity standards, and is able to obtain a Class 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
  • Must be able to present proof of vaccination and submit vaccination card upon hire.
Ability Requirements
  • Office and facility-based work with frequent sitting, standing, writing, and computer usage.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and move through a facility.
  • Moderate reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
