Prevention Manager Job Summary

At Portable Practical Educational Preparation, Inc, we are seeking a skilled Prevention Manager to oversee a variety of prevention program activities and support in the Amado area. This role reports to the Director of Prevention and is responsible for coordinating and implementing project activities, ensuring capacity and sustainability for program success. The Prevention Manager will oversee program documentation and provide comprehensive, accurate, and timely reports. Additionally, this role will act as a liaison between the Director of Prevention and the rural prevention project, ensuring program safety and compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience in grant writing and fund development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate community-level outreach and capacity development across 12 sectors.
  • Plan, coordinate, and implement activities to meet or exceed required deliverables.
  • Communicate effectively with staff, supervisors, and community key stakeholders.
  • Oversee and conduct required reporting and evaluation activities.
  • Facilitate strategic planning and professional development for the community served.
  • Model program values and use a human-centered approach when working with program participants.
  • Maintain corporate confidence and keep information confidential, adhering to agency policies and procedures.
  • Represent PPEP with a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Exhibit competency in and ensure a trauma-informed approach among staff and within all community projects.
  • Understand the disease model of addiction and demonstrate knowledge of proven community-level prevention practices.
  • Operate Windows Office 2010, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Outlook.
  • Have functional knowledge and skills in basic social media, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • Exhibit excellent writing skills for documentation and grant writing.
  • Demonstrate excellent documentation and organizational skills.
  • Be self-directed, responsible, and possess good judgment and decision-making skills with a solution-oriented perspective.
  • Be willing to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a human services-related field and 4 years of work experience in human services, community organization, program facilitation, coalition-related work, or community/health services.
  • 21 years or older.
  • Valid Arizona driver's license.
  • Ability to meet PPEP driver requirements.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Level I AZ DPS Fingerprint Clearance card.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to work as a team, communicate effectively, and present a professional appearance and demeanor. Possess good judgment and decision-making skills with a solution-oriented perspective. Bilingual (English, Spanish) preferred. Supervisory experience.
