Position Overview: The Level 2 Technician will assist in addressing more intricate issues that necessitate extensive knowledge of servers, virtualization, and layer 2 networking. Client satisfaction and effective problem resolution are paramount in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical support in person, via phone, or through remote access for challenges related to computer systems, software, hardware, and patching.
  • Act as an escalation point for Level 1 technicians, providing guidance on complex troubleshooting tasks.
  • Diagnose issues to identify optimal solutions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and offer recommendations for ongoing issues.
  • Adapt communication style and troubleshooting methods to align with the end user's knowledge or skill level.
  • Create and enhance documentation, providing feedback on existing materials.
  • Accurately track and log time spent on tasks.
  • Set up, configure, and troubleshoot servers, computers, and networking devices.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
  • Collaborate flexibly with team members.
  • Ensure the confidentiality and security of all information.
  • Manage multiple tasks while maintaining organization.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT or help desk support.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server roles and features.
  • Understanding of 2/3 networking configurations.
  • Experience administering Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace environments.
