RN Charge Nurse/Shift Coordinator

As a RN Charge Nurse/Shift Coordinator on the NeuroScience Unit at Children's National Hospital, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and leading a team of nursing professionals. This is a dynamic and challenging position that requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as a passion for delivering high-quality care to patients and families.
Responsibilities- Direct the activities of the patient care delivery team on a shift-to-shift basis, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
- Collaborate with unit leadership to plan, manage, and evaluate unit-based clinical care, ensuring that patient needs are met and exceeded.
- Participate in the performance appraisal process for staff, providing constructive feedback and coaching to support professional growth and development.
- Implement change initiatives that positively impact patient care and staff satisfaction.
- Display strong leadership skills, demonstrating a commitment to teamwork, collaboration, and patient-centered care.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with 1 year of recent pediatric experience in a comparable setting.
- Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia.
