Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to manage educational activities for the Adams School of Dentistry's Office of Continuing Dental Education. The successful candidate will serve as the AHEC Coordinator, responsible for coordinating educational activities, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with State, University, and American Dental Association Continuing Education Recognition Program (ADA CERP) regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage educational activities from various departments of the ASOD, including developing promotional materials, negotiating vendor contracts, and overseeing food and beverage functions.
  • Assist faculty in developing educational activities that adhere to ADA CERP requirements.
  • Work with the nine AHEC regional offices to secure faculty to present CE offerings in the respective regions via webinar or in-person meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with State, University, and ADA CERP regulations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, combined with equivalent interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with State, University, and ADA CERP regulations.
  • Attention to detail and deadlines is critical.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct work experience in adult continuing education and/or higher education.
  • Experience with event and meeting planning.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe.
