About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Public Affairs and Communications Officer to join our team in New York City. The successful candidate will have a strong background in public affairs and communications and be able to develop and implement effective communications strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement communications strategies and tactics to support organizational initiatives.
- Build and maintain relationships with media professionals to secure media coverage.
- Collaborate with staff to develop and implement communications strategies and tactics.
- Track and catalogue media hits for the organization.
Requirements:
- B.A. degree in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in communications or journalism, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds.
Salary: $54,000 - $60,000 annually, dependent upon experience.
