The Visual Communication Specialist will work in tandem with our Marketing and Design division to produce captivating and informative visual materials across multiple channels. BASIS Schools are celebrated for their challenging academic offerings that equip students for success in prestigious colleges and universities. We are dedicated to delivering an exceptional education that fosters independent thinking and problem-solving skills among our students.

The BASIS Education AZ+ Marketing and Design team functions as the internal advertising agency, supporting the expansion of BASIS Charter Schools. You will collaborate with a group of marketers and designers to create engaging integrated national campaigns and impactful marketing collateral. This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing flexibility in your work location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and produce high-quality visual content for a variety of print and digital platforms, including:
  • Digital and print advertisements, social media visuals, infographics
  • Email layouts, brochures, flyers, and school promotional materials (such as t-shirt designs)
  • Collaborate with copywriters and team members to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Utilize Figma and Adobe Creative Suite to develop effective design solutions. (Animation and video editing skills are a significant advantage)
  • Stay informed on design trends and explore innovative technologies, including AI applications in design.
  • Oversee project timelines and workflows to ensure deadlines are met and budgets are adhered to.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a graphic designer with a robust portfolio demonstrating your expertise.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma.
  • Strong grasp of design principles (layout, typography, color theory).
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management abilities.
  • Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively.
  • A commitment to education and a desire to contribute positively to the community.
