Packaging Inspector 3rd Shift Job Summary

Nissha Medical Technologies is seeking a skilled Packaging Inspector to join our team on 3rd shift. As a Packaging Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pack products and/or assembly kits together
  • Ensure final products meet specifications prior to packaging
  • Package products according to drawings
  • Perform final inspections of labeling to ensure consistency with lot paperwork
  • Document defects as applicable
  • Communicate inspection findings to area management/QA
  • Document finished packaged products as inspected
  • Pack products in an off-line environment (off-line packing)
  • Put kits together (i.e. holter kits, stress kits, etc)
  • Assist with housekeeping tasks (put raw materials back on the shelf, general cleanup)
  • May occasionally assist in material movement (hand/fork truck, material distribution, etc)
  • Interpret shop paperwork and drawings (read and calculate)
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • High school education
  • Minimum of 60 days related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's
  • Ability to read instructions, specifications, and drawings required to accomplish assignments
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
Physical Requirements:
  • Sitting: Remaining seated for a period of time, in one position. Rarely (0-25%)
  • Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time. Continuously (%)
  • Handling: Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands. Also includes finger dexterity. Frequently (50-75%)
  • Bending: Stooping, crouching, full back and leg flexibility. Occasionally (25-50%)
  • Kneeling: Bending legs at knees to come to rest on knee or knees. Rarely (0-25%)
  • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction. Frequently (50-75%)
  • Lifting: Picking up and movement of objects. May involve carrying as well. Frequently (50-75%)
  • Climbing: Ascending or descending using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized. Rarely (0-25%)
  • Vision: Ability to see and recognize detail. Continuously (%)
  • Repetitive Motion: Recurring movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Frequently (50-75%)
  • Pushing/Pulling: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force to provoke movement, or to draw, drag, haul, or tug objects in a sustained motion. Occasionally (25-50%)
