Job Summary

Nissha Medical Technologies is seeking a skilled Printing Press Operator to join our team on 3rd shift. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating various printing presses, ensuring the continual operation of all facets of press operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and independently operate Press Equipment, including Flexographic, Letterpress, and Off-Set Presses.
  • Manage all processes associated with Press Operation, including tasks and responsibilities of the assigned Press Helper and Associate.
  • Train and educate Press Helpers and Associates on operational procedures and technical aspects of the press and other equipment involved in the manufacturing process.
  • Perform processing tasks, including die cutting, perfing, and punching.
  • Review job tickets and verify stock, inks, and dies are available and used as specified.
  • Complete required paperwork and quality sign offs.
  • Inspect finished product for any imperfections or irregularities and make adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain running speeds, tension, and registration of presses while checking for quality.
  • Perform numbering tasks and troubleshoot and preventative maintenance tasks on printing equipment.
  • Communicate with Machine Operators, Press Operators, Team Leads, and Supervisors on production issues, needs, and recommendations to improve production effectiveness and efficiency.
Requirements
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a constructive, positive manner with others in a team environment.
  • Basic reading, math, and direction following skills.
  • Knowledge of and skill in Lithographic, Flexographic, or Web printing.
  • Mathematical aptitude (measurements).
  • Ability to read blueprints and drawings.
  • Ability to use basic measurement instruments.
  • Excellent reading comprehension.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability and desire to learn other printing processes and equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and react quickly to operation issues.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and Management.
Physical Requirements
  • Sitting: Remaining seated for a period of time, in one position.
  • Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
  • Handling: Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands.
  • Bending: Stooping, crouching, full back and leg flexibility.
  • Kneeling: Bending legs at knees to come to rest on knee or knees.
  • Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
  • Lifting: Picking up and movement of objects.
  • Climbing: Ascending or descending using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
  • Vision: Ability to see and recognize detail.
  • Repetitive Motion: Recurring movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Pushing/Pulling: Using upper extremities to press against something with steady force to provoke movement, or to draw, drag, haul or tug objects in a sustained motion.
  • Twisting: Moving in a contorted motion, usually involving the back, and usually repeatedly.
