Bland Landscaping Company is seeking a skilled Irrigation System Technician to join our team. As an Irrigation System Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing irrigation systems for commercial and residential landscape customers.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and diagnose irrigation system issues to ensure proper performance.
- Install new irrigation systems and make repairs as needed.
- Load and unload heavy equipment and tools, and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Schedule and monitor daily workloads, and plan and coordinate equipment and materials for each day.
- Attend and participate in crew and department meetings, and communicate daily with the Production Manager on progress and planning.
- Submit daily timesheets and record materials used for billing.
- Perform administrative tasks, including paperwork and data entry.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, and adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
- Operate company-owned vehicles safely and efficiently, and transport crew members as needed.
- Use technology to communicate with colleagues and management, and stay up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.
- 1 1/2 years of experience in irrigation system installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a routine basis, and bend and stoop on a continual basis.
- Ability to work outside in all weather conditions, and work around bees, poison ivy, pollen, thorns, and other environmental risks.
- Valid NC Driver's license and a good driving record (CDL preferred).
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, and obtain a NC Pesticide applicators license.
- Good communication skills and ability to motivate others.
- Ability to comply with company policies and procedures.
The Irrigation System Technician will work in a fast-paced outdoor environment, with frequent exposure to weather conditions, physical demands, and environmental risks. The technician will be required to wear company-provided uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) as needed.
Benefits- $19 - $26 hourly pay.
