Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement educational curriculum aligned with developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
  • Lead by example and encourage success through modeling and coaching.
  • Plan individual and group activities to engage children and promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment, adhering to facility policies and state regulations.
  • Develop and implement a personal and professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
  • High school diploma and/or degree in a related field of study.
  • FL DCF 45 hours certification.
  • FL DCF Transcript.
  • CDA certification highly preferred.
  • Willingness to obtain VPK Teacher credentials from DCF.
  • Must clear a full level II DCF background check.
  • At least 1 year of professional early childhood training/experience.
  • CPR, First Aid, and Fire Extinguisher Certification completion within 30 days of employment.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish is a plus.
