Diesel Mechanic

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to work in Meriden, CT. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience working on heavy equipment, diesel trucks, and tractors.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform scheduled services on drive trains and other heavy equipment
- Work with limited supervision, drawing on experience and troubleshooting skills
- Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Prepare accurate and detailed records of work performed
- Develop and maintain analytical and technical skills to perform at a high level
- Minimum 5 years of experience working on heavy equipment, diesel trucks, and tractors
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Mechanic Technical School preferred
- Valid Driver's License and willingness to obtain CDL within 6 months
- Steel toe boots and basic tools required
- Dump trucks
- Heavy equipment (Case, New Holland, CAT, Hitachi, Daewoo, JLG, Bobcat, John Deere, Sennebogen, Volvo, IH, Gradall, etc.)
- Trucks (International/Navistar, Freightliner, Peterbilt, Hino, Mack, Volvo, Kenworth, Western Star)
- Trailers
- Air compressors
- Skid steers
- Loaders
- Lift equipment
