Key Responsibilities
  • Outreach and Engagement
    • Create and implement a comprehensive outreach plan to promote a college-going culture within Bexar County and beyond.
    • Develop and maintain partnerships with existing and new organizations, leaders, and schools to create programming and outreach that align with the University's mission.
  • Program Development and Management
    • Oversee and lead the Parent Outreach and Engagement program, which includes managing the La Familia grant, leading support staff, and implementing parent outreach initiatives.
    • Develop and oversee a yearly department budget that aligns with University mission and goals to further outreach efforts within ASPIRE and across the community.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with Assistant Director of Campus Visit Experience to build a visit experience for elementary and middle school groups.
    • Collaborate with other departments across campus, including the Office of Admissions, Office of Financial Aid, Family Engagement, Mays Center, and more.
  • Reporting and Evaluation
    • Responsible for accurate and timely reporting for all grant-related projects and initiatives.
    • Responsible for setting departmental goals and objectives for team members that align with the University mission.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
    • At least 10 years of related experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Masters degree in a related field.
    • Experience in grant management and development.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and management skills.
    • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
    • Interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Planning and organizational skills.
    • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
